I think the coutryside is the best place to spend the summer holidays.My
parents also like to spend their holidays in a village because they enjoy
nature.That`s why when school was over,my family went to the Carpathians,
to the village of Kozova.
We went to the village by car.It took us an hour to get there.The village is not
bige but very beautiful.It is located at the foot of a high mountain.The houses
in the village are rather small but they look lovely surrounded by fruit-trees
and bushes and you can see lots of flowers in front of each of them.
My Aunt`s family livse in a nice four-room house.
Behaind the house there is a large vegetabale garden where they grow
potatoes ,cabbages,tomatoes,onions.
I have duit forgotten to mention my Aunt`s domestik animals
I like the village and enjoyed our stay there greatly
IN TOWN
Some boys and girls on their summer vacations do not go to the camp,to the sea or to the country.they just stay at home in town with treir families.Of course
vacations in town are not interesting as in the country or at the camp.But when
your summer vacations interesting you must make a plan what to do.
When scool was over and sammer vacations began I made some resolutions
or a plan for my vacations .Here they are:
1.To help my mother about the house.
2.To read books recomended by the teachers.
3.To teach my brother to count and read.
4.To take my brother far a walk every day.
5.To learn to cook meals.
So I helped my parents adout the house every day: I cleand the rooms
and washed up.Sometimes I went shopping.
On fane sunny daqys we went to the river.
When the weather was rainy I read books recommended by the teachers,
watched films on TV or listened to music.My task wos to look ofter my little
brother Zakhar.On weekends we went to the forest.There we picked raspberrise
and blueberries.At home we made juice and jam from berries.
When my summer vacations came to the end I looked at the list of my
parents to put marks for my every resolution.I liked my summer vacations very

DANYLO STARYK`S HOUSE
My name Danylo Staryk.I live in the town of Stryi.My famali and I live in a
block of flats .It is a two-storeyed house.My flat is on the first flor.It has tree
rooms a kitchen,a dathrooms,a tailet and a hall.
One of the bedrooms is my room.My room is not large,but light and casy.
But I'd like to descride what is by the house you can see some flower-beds
wisth beautiful flovers .There is a large yard and anice orchard with many fruit
trees behinding.In the yard there is a shed.
My flat is not very larg but it's comfortable and well-planed.
My flat has all modern conveniences:runing cold and hat water,electrik,gas,central
hasting and a telephone.
When you come to visit us you enter a small and casy hall.There is a hall-stand for
hats,coats and umbrelas and a larg mirrov.And now let's have a lookat the
largest room in the flat.The walls of our living-room are painted light pink.There are two
larg windows and a balcony door in the room.The curtains on the windows match
the walls.There is a large ruy on the floor.On the right of the room tree is a new
wall uniti a TV set,stereo system,a vardrode and a book case.On the left side
of the room there is a sofa with cushions.
The members of my family like to spend their free time in the living-room.
AFTER SCHOOL
My lessons are over at 2 or 3 o'clock and I can go home.It takes me 20 minuts
to get home.
When I come home home I take off my school uniform,put on my T-shirt and
track suit and go to the bathroom to wash my hands.Then I have dinner.As
arule I have plate of soup,bread and a glass of juce for dinner.
After dinner I may have a little rest I watch my favorite cartoons on TV or
listen to musik.
At 4 o'clock I do the homework.It take me two or tree hours to do it.
I am fond of karate.On Monday,Wenesday and Friday I go to the karate
clud and do exercises.
My mather come back home rather late.I help her a bout the house.I
usually wash the dishes and clear the rooms.
In the evening after supper I get my things ready for school.
At 9 o'clock I brush my teeth take a shaver,say good night to my parents
and go to bed.
AT SCHOOL
My scool day always starts at half past eight.I go to school five days a week.
I have six lessons a day.After thet third and the fourth lessons I have long
breaks and go to the can teen to have lunch there.
At the Gymnasium I learns a lot of subjects:Ukrainian,English,Ukrainian and
Worid Literature,History of Ukrainen,Mathematics,German and some others.
I have Ukrainian four times a week.At the lessons we do exercises,learns
grammar rules,write dictationsand compositions.
History lessons are interesting too.I work hard at maths,I do sums and
problems.At other lessons I lern now to draw,and sing.
But my favourite subjest is English.The teacter of English teeth take a shower
,say goodnight to my parents and go to bed.
INTHEMORNING

I usually wake up at 7 o clock.To tell the truth,I am not a hearly riser.
I begin my day with a player.After that I make the bed and do the morning
exercises.Some times I get up later and don't do my exercises.
Then I go to the bathroom to wash my selt.I wash my face and hands
with soap and cold water.I brush my teeth ith a toothbrush and toothpaste.
I don't take a shower in the morning because I have no time.
After that I go back to my room and dress.I put on trousers,a sweater and
my school uniform.
I usually have breakfast at half past seven.I havesome cereal,a cup of tea or
a glass of juice and bread and butter.
After break fast I take my shcool bag and leave for school
I go out of the house 7.45 a.m.I offen take abus in the morning.It takes me
20 minetes to get to school.
I'd like to tell you about my mother.She is thirty-six years old.She is slim and pretty,This is her face. Her face is oval.This is her nose.Her nose is straight.These are her eyes.Her eyes are brown.This is her hair. Her hair is dark,long and curly.These are her lips.Her lips are rosy and thin.These are her shoulders.Her shoulders are narrow. These are her eyelashes.Her eyelashes are long.
I think my mother is polite and kind but she is a bit talkative .She is an office worker.
I'd like to tell you a bout my pet. I have got a dog called Sharik.It is big.It has got a small head. It has got two small ears.It has got a white narrow muzzle.It has got two black big eyes.It has got a small body.It has got short white fur.It has got four long legs.It has got a smaII tail.I like this dog very much.
